Cecilia Ferrer & Argonauts is a rock band composed by Cecilia Ferrer, a Nicaraguan songwriter born in Stockholm, Sweden in 1982, and The Argonauts, a group of talented young musicians.
The band is releasing its first studio album, titled Orgánico, this year. Today they’re releasing their first single that includes two songs from the Orgánico album; Desequilibrio and Luna.
This single, and the upcoming album, are released under a Creative Commons license and can be downloaded for free from jamendo.com.
We, at the Nicaraguan GNU/Linux User Group, are seriously involved in this project as one of the main sponsors of the band, contributing with the album art and the design of the bands’ new web site.
It’s great to see that the community is becoming more involved in new projects with people outside the FOSS sphere, discovering new ways of collaboration that goes far beyond software freedom.
